  • GENERAL SUMMARY

    The Tester/Analyst will work closely with a cross-functional team of application developers and administrators and will be responsible for analyzing the current operation associated with the Biospecimen Core Resource and developing new software application documentation/procedures and updating existing documentation/procedures, software testing, develop test plans, system testing, regression and acceptance testing.

    The qualified individual should be able to:

    • Demonstrates the ability to analyze a problem and complete detailed reports.
    • Able to methodically produce the steps which exhibit bugs in the product and be able to reproduce and communicate these steps.
    • Create test cases, run system tests, and document all final outcomes.
    • Work with technical staff to track and resolve testing issues.
    • Analyze business requirements and application requirements to provide an assessment of the appropriate level of testing required for a project.
    • Write and maintain automated tests using developer toolsets as Selenium, Rational Rose or Visual Studio Team Systems Tester.
    • Manage testing documentation and requirements using Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
    • Provide significant contributions to content of documentation and standardizing documentation.
    • Provide know- how and support for managing the knowledge base associated with complex systems.
    • Clearly and concisely explain complex technical subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Quickly learn and comprehend the technology behind new system functionality.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business orTechnical Communications preferred
    2. Experience in software development a plus
    3. Possess excellent oral communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and interact with all levels within the organization
    4. Qualified candidates should also have experience using structured writing styles
    5. Experience working with Agile Development Teams
    6. Shows initiative in gaining in-depth experience in areas of technology relevant to testing of company products.
    7. Shows initiative in gaining theoretical knowledge in software testing.
    8. Works well in a team environment and alone.
    9. Has ability to adapt to the changing needs of a project.
    10. Has ability to focus on more than one project at a time.
    11. Experience: 1 to 5 years testing computer software.
    12. Proficiency with authoring tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat, and HTML
    13. Software Quality Assurance Certification a plus
    14. Working knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server Version Control and Visual Studio Team Systems Tester preferred.
    15. Working knowledge of automated build tools in Team Foundation Server preferred.

    MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
