GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Behavioral Health Crisis Program Clinician is responsible for providing prompt and effective crisis and/or diagnostic assessment, stabilization, intervention, and hospital facilitations to children and families and facilitates referral and linkage with ongoing treatment providers .She/he will be expected to participate in the Crisis on-call schedule. Assist with discharge planning and post-hospitalization linkage with prevention facilities. Communicate with various systems (Psychiatric intake, child and adolescent inpatient units, crisis facilities, outpatient mental health facilities, primary care facilities, private practice clinicians, psychiatrists, emergency medical personnel, and research study personnel). Facilitate referral and linkage with ongoing treatment providers in relation to crisis situations. Provide brief mental-health services; including but not limited to CSP and outpatient interventions until ongoing treatment provider linkage date and patient stabilization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Master’s Degree in Clinical/Community Counseling or Social Work from an accredited university or professional school. Appropriate Ohio Licensure applicable.

2. Ohio Independent License Preferred.

3. Two or more years of experience as a provider of mental health or crisis service is preferred. 
4. Demonstrated skill in managing care of children and families.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to manage crisis, work within a cohesive environment and have excellent decision making skills in high stress situations.

2. Seeing, hearing, writing: Frequently (34-66%)
3. Typing, kneeling, climbing:Occasionally (0-33%)
