The ICU Registered Nurse prescribes and coordinates professional nursing care for assigned patients. S/he carries out these responsibilities independently within the guidelines of accepted nursing practice, medical direction, and hospital policies, procedures, and standards. Qualified candidates should be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with current NH RN licensure. Two years of nursing experience related to a specialty area preferred; one year of medical surgical nursing experience required. ACLS Certification required; PALS Certification recommended. Rhythm Recognition or Basic Arrhythmia experience required. PCCN or CCRN Certification preferred.
