- Job Summary: Under the direction of the Coordinator of Activity Therapy, utilizing the Therapeutic Recreation process, the Activity Therapist facilitates patient care by completing A.T. assessment & questionnaires, formulating care plans based on those needs and diagnoses, and implementing and evaluating the plans of A.T. services. The Activity Therapist demonstrates knowledge and support of standards of care to all patients. Must be a member of National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification. The Activity Therapist provides instruction, guidance or assistance to M.H.T.'s and hospital auxilians assigned to the Center. Educational Requirements: Graduate from an accredited college/university 4 year program with a degree in: Recreation, Recreation Therapy, Physical Education (with 2 years experience in Psychiatric Services). Current Certification with National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification.
