Positions currently available for a May 31st or June 6th, 2005 orientation date. This student externship program performs delegated functions. Duties include activities required in daily practice as defined by each clinical department.
At this time, we are obtaining information from each nursing units to determine availability of positions. We hope to have this information within the next three weeks. We plan to begin interviewing by the end of March. If you meet the following qualifications you would be eligible: Current enrollment in an accredited school of nursing. Completed the required coursework for your School of Nursing as listed on the Maryland Board of Nursing Website for CNA certification. (www.mbon.org, click on Nursing Assistant Certification, Click on Nursing Assistant Training Programs, Scroll to pages 7- 8). If school of nursing is not listed on the MBON website, requires the completion of an acute care med/surg clinical practicum. CNA certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing.
This position also requires availability to work 40 hours per week beginning late May or early June, 2005 for a minimum of eight weeks. Hours and shifts as needed to meet patient care needs. A minimum of one shift each week during the school semester.
