- The Nurse Clinical Manager II has professional responsible to the Unit Director and the Chief Nursing officer and is an integral member of the Nursing Leadership Team. The Nurse Clinical Manager manages the overall operations of a Patient Care Unit. This is to ensure cost-effective use of human and material resources in delivering “Excellent Care Always”. The Nurse Clinical Manager ensures that the nursing process and theories, as well as principles of psycho-social and physical sciences, in assessing, planning, diagnosing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying patient care utilize evidence based practices. The Nurse Clinical Manager practices autonomously within professional nursing standards, the ANA Code of Ethics and the ANA Bill of Rights. The Nurse Clinical Manager ensures quality outcomes and innovative practice in accordance with the Florida Nursing Practice Act and the Hospital/departmental policies. The Nurse Clinical Manager ensures clinical practice is in accordance with competency required for that area. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self and or others who are under her/his direction. This is done through participation in quality assurance or performance improvement initiatives. The Nurse Clinical Manager provides care in a collaborative manner with other disciplines to ensure optimal, individualized patient care and outcomes. In managing patient care the Clinical Nurse Manager will encourage RNs will take a leadership role coordinating the interdisciplinary team working in collaboration with other health team members to enhance patient outcomes .
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, BSN degree required, Current RN licensure in the state of Florida. American Heart Association BLS, for Heath Care Provider. American Heart Association ACLS- as required by Hospital Policy. Recent 2 years clinical experience and 1 year supervisor experience preferred. Specialty Certification preferred. Additional requirements per Department Policy.
