VCU Health System's NOW Short Pump EEG/EMG Services are seeking full time End Tech I. The END Tech performs routine electroneurodiagnostic procedures using established protocols and procedures in a clinical lab, inpatient and epilepsy unit setting. Modalities include EEG, AEEG, EMU, Polysomnogram, Wada Testing, EP, NCV testing, ERG and IOM. The END Tech I must be proficient in one modality. Training on other modalities will take place on the job.
Takes initiative to acquire and maintain knowledge base.
Participates in conferences and technical training.
Weekends and holiday coverage for the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and STAT EEG procedures.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current CPR certification
ABRET or AAET registry in at least one (1) AMA approved electroneurodiagnostic field within 24 months of hire in to position*
Experience and proficiency in 1 electroneurodiagnostic modality (e.g. EEG, AEEG, EMU, Polysomnogram, etc.) and a minimum of six (6) months actively and satisfactorily participating in an approved and supervised END Tech program or a minimum of one (1) year of basic medical, patient care related experience
*Employees hired in to position prior to 10/01/2016 are grandfathered from this requirement
Graduate of Electroneurodiagnostic Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program
Two or more years of work experience in electroneurodiagnostic lab setting
