VCU Health System's Medicine Administration is seeking a Pediatric Patient Advocate. To develop, implement and manage a comprehensive patient relations program for targeted constituent patient (includes business, community leaders, potential affiliated partner practices and international patients) at VCU Health System 

Responsibilities 

Provides university and health system leaders with a single point of contact for facilitating inpatient and outpatient visits to VCUHS for this patient population. Provides the targeted patients with a single point of assistance and all necessary arrangement to ensure positive experiences. Coordinates and communicates information pertinent to the goals of the Health System, administration, MCV Campus Development program, and the Health System Board of Directors.

Qualifications

Required
Minimum of (3) years experience in Pediatric Nursing
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia 

Preferred
Masters Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health or related field from an accredited program
Certification in pediatrics or other specialty 
Previous experience in managing the development of information systems and databases
Experience in program and personnel management
Fluent in speaking/reading Spanish
