VCU Health System's Radiology Administration is seeking a (full time/ part time/ hourly) RAD Applications – Staff. The Radiology PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications Systems) job family is responsible for the information technology functions to support and implement image management systems for the Radiology department.
Provides systemic support of PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) image management system within Radiology and the hospital.
Maintains and supports PACS workstations and servers – hardware, OS, networking, and applications.
Uses multi-application and multi-platform expertise in the creative process working with external vendors to create new functionalities supportive of the radiology clinical area.
Diagnoses and resolves complicated PACS workstation issues and makes major modifications to existing functionality.
Maintains and makes corrections to PACS archives and multiple PACS systems.
Assists in interfacing modalities and is responsible for the design and maintenance of the Radiology Online home page.
Maintains QA reporting web tool and consistently documents all incidents and change requests including problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up steps.
Leads troubleshooting efforts and formulates interdisciplinary "task force" groups for multi-application or multi-platform troubleshooting efforts.
Supports complex interface transactions as needed to accommodate limitations of originating system or receiving system.
Provides first and second level support for users, ensure currency of information and provide installation and services as needed.
Position typically requires a Bachelors Degree with three (3) to six (6) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of related education and experience
