VCU Health System's Supplemental Staffing Administration is seeking a full time Supplemental Staffing Coordinator. Their primary duties will be to support and coordinate all activities for Supplemental Clinical Staff and healthcare services provided to a defined patient population.
Interprets criteria for specific case application.
Works autonomously and well with others to make patient placement decisions.
Resolves conflicts independently and if unable to do so, identifies and utilizes appropriate resources.
Prioritizes daily activities and collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare team.
All day-to-day operations of the unit are handled independently.
Advice and guidance are sought from the Director on an as needed basis and when there is a major impact on activity outside the unit.
Actions that are taken without prior approval include daily operational functions and leadership of staff, termination of employees, handling employee grievances, review of annual unit goals and budget, approval on unit guidelines and procedures, and review of staff annual performance evaluations.
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing
Current RN licensure in Virginia
Current AHA BLS HCP Certification
Three (3) years of experience including two (2) in specialty area
Five (5) years of clinical and triage experience
Academic healthcare experience
Experience in staff education and professional development (orientation, preceptorship, in-service education)
"Float Pool" experience
