VCU Health System's Home Health Care is seeking a full time Physical Therapist II. The Physical Therapist Clinician II is primarily responsible for the delivery of physical therapy care to the patient population to which she/he is assigned and the recording of that care in the hospital medical record. The therapist acts as a consultant to various patient populations. Provides instruction to OT/PT support staff, PT students, personnel of other disciplines within VCUHS, and patient and/or family members. Therapists may rotate through our various clinical service areas.
Patient evaluation and implementation of intervention programs, discharge planning Employee may have supervisory responsibilities of Physical Therapist Assistants, Patient Care Technicians, students, and volunteers. Employee is a senior member of a self-directed team and applies his knowledge and experience in daily problem solving. The team will bring unresolved issues to departmental manager for assistance and guidance in their resolution.
Services a three county radius. Is provided a company vehicle, computer, and cell phone.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Graduate of an accredited School of Physical Therapy
Current license by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist
Current CPR Certification if required by clinic or practice area
Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Physical Therapist
