VCU Health System's Health Information Management Department is seeking a full time Clinical Review Documentation Nurse. The objective of this position is to improve documentation of diagnostic statements in medical records to accurately reflect patient acuity, co morbidity, case mix index and obtain appropriate reimbursement for services provided for an assigned patient population. This position performs in-depth medical record reviews and educates physicians and clinical staff regarding accurate and complete documentation of services to reduce errors and omissions in coding for reimbursement.

Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing
