VCU Health System's Department of Radiology is seeking full time 3D Imaging Specialist to become a part of our Dynamic Radiology Team. The 3D Imaging Specialist works independently using various imaging computer workstations and multiple post processing software and hardware solutions to process and produce multi-planar reformatted and three dimensional images from volumetric scans of patients. The 3D Imaging Specialist is expected to work closely with radiology section chiefs to develop post-processing protocols.
The 3D Imaging Specialist provides written/documented feedback on staff performance and compliance with CT imaging protocols.
The 3D Imaging Specialist works with radiologists in protocol development that optimizes both scanning and radiations reduction protocols.
Responsible for the transfer of image data to and from the 3-D Lab workstations in an accurate and timely manner and suggests process changes in CT to improve productivity and reduce report turnaround time for referring physicians.
Is knowledgeable in the operation of complex 3-D imaging computer workstation software and in creating standard protocol views for a wide range of clinical anatomy and pathology.

Ensures adherence to regulatory standards, health system and department policies, procedures, processes, and guidelines applicable to role.
Resolves basic service delivery issues.
Initiates equipment service calls.
Identify safety concerns in the age-related population, effectively communicate to the age-related population, and make necessary adjustments for patients according to patient age and medical condition.
Minimum of 3 years of CT or MRI experience
Current Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT)
ARRT CT or MR
Graduation from a JRC Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology.
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
5 years of CT or MR experience
Previous work experience in an academic medical center environment.
