VCU Health's ACC Ambulatory Care Administration is seeking a full time Nurse Clinician. The Nurse Clinician demonstrates a high level of expertise in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of the complex patients and their responses to actual or potential health problems. Assist the health care team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort. To provide direction, education, leadership and accountability for program development, implementation and evaluation in area of responsibility. Includes professional development and empowerment of staff as well as management of resources to promote desired outcomes with attention to quality, efficiency and cost.
The Nurse Clinician has full authority and accountability for direction and leadership of program planning guideline development, setting of practice standards within the confines of organizations/divisions/units mission, goals and objectives.
Manages human, fiscal and other resources to ensure quality programs/processes/services with measurable positive outcomes.
Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state
AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent
Minimum of five (5) years nursing experience
Master's Degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business Administration, Public Health or closely related field from an accredited program or within one semester of completion. If the Master's Degree is not in Nursing, then it is required to have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
Minimum of one (1) year experience in the position's specialty patient population or practice setting
Advance Practice Nursing Role or Clinical Leadership Role experience
Experience in staff education and professional development (orientation, preceptorship, in-services education, etc.)
Academic health care experience
Masters Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Certification in specialty area
