VCU Health System's Pathology Research is seeking a (full time/ part time/ hourly) MT – Senior Clinical Trials. As the Clinical Trials Coordinator, the primary responsibilities include the timely completion and accurate documentation of the Study Questionnaire; the new account record and appropriate follow-up; printing of requisitions; coordinating initial supply order to meet client needs; confirmation of logistics for daily services; assisting the sales rep and/or performing client in-service training; and ensuring that all pertinent tasks on the new account set-up sheet have been completed. Other related responsibilities include serving as primary contact for all clinical trials accounts by working with the clinical trials faculty and staff, the clinical nurse coordinator and the Principal Investigators to identify the test procedures needed; design requests to support the protocol specifications; provide lab certification and documentation as required; and in-service internal and external staff on the agreed upon procedures.

Bachelor Degree in Clinical Lab Science (BSCLS) from an accredited program
Current MT (ASCP) or MLS (ASCP) or CLS (NCA) or equivalent categorical certification*
*Certification required within 18 months of promotion or hired into position
Minimum of 3 years of clinical work experience as a Medical Technologist. Depending on the laboratory assignment, work experience requirement may be specific to a particular specialty areas such as Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Transfusion Medicine, Clinical Chemistry, Toxicology, etc.
Masters Degree in Clinical Lab Science (MSCLS) from an accredited program
ASCP Specialty Certification
