VCUHealth System's PSYCH-PSYCHIATRY isseeking a full time Social Worker Supervisor to be responsible for the supervision of clinical social workersassigned to the Infectious Disease (ID) Clinic and other ambulatory areas asassigned. To manages the impact of social service delivery/case management inthe ID Clinic and other assigned clinics; to support the mission and goals ofthe Care Coordination Department and to provide both direct patient care topatients and families and assist in the coordination of team deliveredservices. Ensures that appropriate social work staffing is available daily tomeet the patient care needs of the assigned clinics; evaluates the performanceof assigned social work staff, completes organizational annual performanceevaluations; addresses disciplinary issues and communicates these issues to theSocial Work Manager; and participate in program development and evaluation.Clinical responsibilities include completion of a psychosocial assessment forpatients identified in need of social work services; development of treatmentplans that are congruent with the overall health care plan; implementation ofpsychosocial interventions; education of patients, their family members, staffand social work students; facilitation of patient's compliance with treatment;collaboration with the community to provide needed services; and coordinationof pre-hospital and discharge planning activities.
Ensurethat appropriate social work staffing is available daily to meet the patientcare needs of the assigned clinics and evaluate the performance of assignedsocial work staff, complete organizational annual performance evaluations,address disciplinary issues and communicate these issues to the Social WorkManager.

Participatein service area meetings, training, and patient care conferences.
LicensedClinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Virginia required
Minimumof seven (7) years of clinical social work experience to include two (2) yearsin a lead or supervisory role
Mastersof Social Work Degree from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accreditedprogram
Clinical social work experience in an acute care setting
