VCU Health System's Radiology Administration department is seeking a full time Radiology Coordinator to facilitate patient flow, coordinate procedures and ensures collaboration with the health care team both within and outside of radiology with a focus on safety, quality and service while improving efficiency and minimizing downtime. The Rad Coord will also oversee and/or lead assigned technologist work teams. Exceptional customer service and communication skills required.
Coordinates workflow of assigned teams.
Follows documented written and CPOE orders.
Evaluates orders, prioritizes and plans work and effectively assigns resources to ensure optimal workflow in accordance with department protocols
Resolves service delivery issues as needed.
Communicates updates to referring providers.
Graduation from a JRCNMT Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology that is recognized by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS
Current certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT), the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) OR the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Minimum of 5 years of previous radiology modality and/or invasive procedure work experience
Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or closely related field from an accredited program
Minimum of 1 year of previous supervisory or lead/coordinator experience required.
7-10 years of previous radiology modality work experience with 3 years in a supervisory or lead/coordinator role.
Previous work experience in an academic medical center environment
