The Medical Assistant I provides general Medical Assisant assistance to Internal Medicine physicians in an outpatient setting. S/He demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served. Additionally, the Medical Assistant I demonstrates competency in applying these principles when providing individualized care to specific patients.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE: Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Must possess Medical Assistant skills and have successfully completed MA course. Must be CPR certified. Minimum of one (1) year experience as Medical Assistant preferred. Telephone, fax machine, copier, typewriter, personal computer and peripherals, EKG machine and other medical equipment as required by the practice.
