The Medical Technologist is responsible for the independent performance of technical procedures, including emergency and routine patient testing, quality control, and preventive maintenance. The Medical Technologist participates in quality management processes as needed.  The Medical Technologist must possess a Bachelor's degree and M.T. (ASCP), HEW or comparable military training.  One (1) year of supervised technical experience in a licensed clinical laboratory preferred.  Chemistry, Hematology and Urinalysis. M.T. (ASCP) certification preferred.

The Medical Lab Technician is responsible for the performance of technical procedures, including emergency and routine patient testing, quality control, and preventive maintenance. The Medical Lab Technician participates in quality management processes as needed.  The Medical Lab Technician must possess an Associate's degree, M.L.T. (ASCP) or equivalent; successfully completed an accredited MLT program; or has a Bachelor's in Biology, Chemistry, or other laboratory based Science.  One (1) year of supervised technical experience in a licensed clinical laboratory preferred.  M.L.T. (ASCP) preferred.
