The Medical Assistant assists the provider and staff with all areas of patient care; calls in prescriptions as needed; takes vital signs; and enters data in computer as requested. The Medical Assistant I aides the patient with obtaining additional testing; assists with minor surgical procedures; and travels with provider to offsites and assists with filing and paperwork as requested.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:  Must possess a high school diploma or GED.  Must possess two (2) years experience as a Medical Assistant in Internal Medicine.  Medical Assistant Certification preferred but not required.  Must possess current CPR certification.  Must possess customer service skills.  Must be able to work harmoniously with other personnel.  Must possess a valid driver's license and transportation to travel to other campus locations.
