ROLE SUMMARY Works under the supervision of Cheyenne Physician Group. Responsible for the day to day operations of the business and administrative sections of the office. Has direct supervisory responsibilities over office employees. Serves as a liaison for the office with the billing office and department administration. Is responsible for inventory of supplies, and organization and record keeping on clinical personnel and physician staff. Resolves patient problems or refers patients to appropriate resources. Works with third party payers, managed care organizations and HMO's for pre authorization purposes. Performs other duties within job description and skill level as assigned by Cheyenne Regional Medical Center (CRMC) and Cheyenne Physician Group. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Daily management and coordination of all clinic staff and physicians. 2. Coordinates routinely with the Physician Group on all issues related to quality patient care and efficient utilization of staff and resources. 3. Responsible for the upkeep of all records on clinic personnel and the physicians on staff. 4. Responsible for Variance reports on Monthly Financials. 5. Maintains physician scheduling templates. 6. Signs and forwards all invoices and bills to appropriate parties. 7. Responsible for ordering pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and office supplies and for keeping an accurate record of their cost. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES · Ability to deal effectively with patients, families, visitors, physicians and office and hospital staff. · Must be able to handle stressful and emotional situations. · Ability to assess, evaluate, explain and problem solve using critical thinking. · Able to deal with many stressors simultaneously. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS · High school diploma required. BBA or MBA preferred. · At least five 5 years experience in healthcare related business. · Prior experience in medical office administration preferred. · Must have knowledge of insurance claims, CPT coding and accounting. · Knowledge of medical terminology and computer systems.
