ROLE SUMMARY

Manages multiple, parallel projects using formal project planning techniques and CRMC’s project management approved methodology and standard project management templates.  Establishes and maintains liaison as required with boards, committees and commissions. Responsible for appropriate project status updates and communications related to issues and barriers. 

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1.            Provides highly skilled technical and management advice and assistance to department management, project management teams and other personnel. 

2.            Assembles or assists in assembling the appropriate team members as needed within the scope of the project.  Identifies team priorities involving time, quality, cost, and scope.  Leads design and review sessions as needed.

3.            Leads design sessions and review sessions with technical and business staffs, including all levels of management.  Is accountable to finish projects on time, within budget and meeting the quality standards identified by the team and the Project Sponsor of the Team.  Consistently informs the projects Project Sponsor of the Team’s progress toward project milestones.

4.            Facilitates and troubleshoots the myriad of problems associated with the coordination, development and design of projects or complex systems. 

5.            Incorporates quality improvement, patient satisfaction, physician satisfaction, employee satisfaction and financial initiatives into team goals.

6.            Assists in developing departmental plans, goals, objectives, policies and procedures.

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

·            Demonstrates a solid understanding of how the organization functions 

·            Working knowledge of MS Project (or similar scheduling tool) Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

·            Ability to assess, evaluate, explain, teach, problem solve using critical thinking and perform calculations

·            Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

·            Expert knowledge and ability to develop and apply procedures in complex assignments

·            Professional knowledge and technical ability to analyze, design, test and implement systems and applications

·            Possesses thorough knowledge and ability to develop and implement policies and procedures

·            Demonstrates an independent work initiative, sound judgment and attention to detail

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

·            Bachelor’s Degree in business or health care related fields

·            PMP or similar project management certification and health care background preferred 

·            Experience in project management, work with teams or advisory work with managers
