QUALIFICATIONS:
· Is a Registered Nurse licensed in Virginia with 4-5 years clinical experience or BS in health related field of study.
· Previous experience and or education with automated documentation system preferred.
· Strong communication skills and ability to relate to all levels of employees.
· Knowledgeable in the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological stages of human growth and development.
· Understands not only the end user environment of clinical systems but the Informatics aspect including server environments, interfaces (between systems and among equipment), databases, order builds, data flow, barcoding and technical setup of clinical systems to support Valley Health.
· Strong PC skills required including good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access.
· Ability to take user input into building complex clinical systems such as physician/provider order entry, order sets, barcoded medications, and automated clinical flowsheets.
· Ability to get along with customers and a friendly, approachable disposition required.
· Communicates at multiple levels of the organization regarding clinical computing technology.
· Ability to manage large, complex high-tech projects in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to work with and train physicians and other clinicians on clinical order entry, provider order entry, computerized charting, bedside barcoding and other clinical applications.
· Responsible for clinical systems quality and compliance through controlled unit system tests, setup of auditing processes, and systems review post-install.
