JOB SUMMARY: The Manager of Laboratory Information Systems Clinical Applications manages the McKesson Laboratory Information Systems Team. HLAB and HAP are the laboratory information applications that run in conjunction with the core clinical acute care system for Valley Health. HLAB and HAP support a variety of applications including laboratory order entry, bed-side bar-coding and positive patient /specimen identification, Anatomic Pathology voice recognition and transcription etc. This position prioritizes projects and works to meet deadlines. The Manager of Laboratory Information Systems Clinical Applications ensures that all customer issues are resolved. This position will manage the LIS Team personnel including yearly evaluations, manpower needs, and all other issues. QUALIFICATIONS: - BS degree in Medical Technology or healthcare related field required
- ASCP certification preferred
- Minimum 7 years experience in healthcare, laboratory preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in LIS systems preferred
- ASCP specialty certification in LIS preferred
- Previous education and/or experience with automated information systems in health care required
- Strong organizational, analytical, and exceptional communication skills necessary
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills in planning, implementation and managing
- Criminal Background checks include:
