QUALIFICATIONS:

·         High school graduate or equivalent strongly preferred

·         Must be listed on the relevant Registry of the Board of Nursing as a Certified Nurse Aide in Virginia and/or West Virginia based on work location(s) within Valley Health

·         Must understand basic principles of human growth and development

·         Must be competent to successfully interact with patients according to their special needs which may apply based on the age of the patient served

·         Must have a reliable means of phone communication with hospital

·         Criminal Background Check required:

o        VA State Police

o        Third Party Background Check

o        FBI fingerprinting for Behavioral Health and Float Pool

o        Central Registry for Behavioral health, Healthy Families, Float Pool, Labor & Delivery, NICU Maternal/Child and/or Family Birthing Staff, Pediatrics and Women's Care Center – WMH

o        WV State Police fingerprinting for NWV Home Health and HMH

·         Will be required to obtain Valley Health provided annual flu vaccination if employed in Long-Term Care clinical areas
