High School/GED from Nationally Accredited College/Universit
Allegan General Hospital seeks a part time Dietary Aide to work for our Food & Nutrition department.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, but may not be limited to:
-Maintains quality food production, portion control standards and recipe standards.
-Prepares food items for the Riverfront Café, Fresh Start Café, patient meals and catering functions.
-Reviews menus, production sheets and catering sheets and produces food items to meet the needs of the patient/customer within the time restraints.
-Uses the correct preparation method and portioning to insure that quality, temperature and therapeutic diet needs are met.
-Maintains and practices proper sanitation of kitchen and cafes.
-Completes catering request and set-up.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE, but may not be limited to:
-High School Diploma or GED
-Ability to read, mathematically alter and produce a recipe.
-Knowledge of Culinary terminology.
-Ability to perform all cooking methods correctly.
-Knowledge of various therapeutic patient diets
-Knowledge of food service and catering functions
-Excellent Customer Service skills and ability to work as a cashier
-Knowledge and ability to perform the senior cook, assistant cook, diet clerk, kiosk, salad, dishes, stock, catering and cafeteria position duties regularly.
