QUALIFICATIONS Education: Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing. Licensure: License to practice as a registered nurse in the state of North Dakota. Experience: Minimum one year hospital experience or clinical nursing experience. Skills: Working knowledge of basic clinical skills in delivery of patient care. Must meet Basic Life Support certification within 480 hours of employment. Must have ACLS and/or PALS certification within 6 months along with maintaining recertification. Interpersonal Skills: Good communication skills are necessary because of the constant communication, both oral and written, with patients, families, visitors, and Medical Center staff. Accountable for own conduct. Promotes and supports positive working relationships among staff, between other disciplines, departments, families, visitors and patients. Maintains confidentiality of all patient information. Physical Effort: Level: Medium. Weight Lifted: 50 lbs. infrequently, 23 lbs. or less frequently. Walking/Carrying: 3.5 MPH no grade or slower speed with 25 lbs. or less. Typical Energy Required: 3.5 Mets. Hours of Work: Day shift - variable hours.
