Education: Minium of High School Degree or GED, plus 2 years of schooling with emphasis on secretarial duties or equivalent work experience referred. Experience: Minimum of two (2) years computer related experience, preferably in the health care environment demonstrating required skills. Skills: Proficiency in keyboarding, specific software(Word, Excel and preferably Crystal Reports) personal computer, grammar and/or spelling skills. Strong computer and data entry skills with the ability to type 50 wpm. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to relate well with public, visitors, and staff. Must maintain confidentiality. Physical Effort: Requires the ability to maintain normal seated position for extended periods of time. Requires the ability to view computer screens for extended periods of time. Hours of Work: Day shift - variable work hours. Other: Must be able to work efficiently under stress and meet short deadlines with frequent telephone and visitor interruptions. Must work independently and plan own work efficiently. Must have strong sense of organization both in maintaining files and in time management. Works under the following conditions: Potential exposure to mechanical, chemical, electrical, and infectious environmental hazards. Noise level normal to an office setting. Limited temperature control in offices.
