RN – Behavioral Health Position Overview

Rogue Regional Medical Center's inpatient Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) is an 18 bed adult mental health unit, with an additional 4 psychiatric beds in the Emergency Dept.  The average patient census is 18 and nurse to patient ratios are 6:1. The average patient stay is 9 days.  All Behavioral Health RN's float to the ED to care for the psychiatric patients being treated in the Emergency Department

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

·       Associates Degree in Nursing

·        Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN), preferred

Experience

·        Related Mental Health Nursing experience, preferred

License/Certification

·        Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing.  Will consider candidates with RN licensure from out of state – but Oregon license is required by start date 

·        Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certified through the American Heart Association is required upon start
