Medical Technologist Position at Three Rivers Medical Center Overview
The Three Rivers Medical Center Laboratory provides support for a busy emergency department, surgical center, and 125 inpatient beds, as well as a strong outreach program and new outpatient center. Our staff of skilled professionals cover a full range of specialties in Hematology, Chemistry, and Blood Bank in addition to limited Microbiology and Pathology. We also serve as a clinical site for MLA, MLT, and MLS students.

· Beaker LIS/EPIC EMR
· Equipment includes Beckman Coulter DxI's, AU680's, and a DxH 1600, Ortho Vision Cepheid GeneXpert, IL Top 500's, Siemens PFA, and a BacT/ 3D.
· Billable test volume is over 500,000 tests/year.

This position will work nights with a generous shift differential. Primary shifts are scheduled in 10 hour blocks: 1800 – 0430 and 2000 – 0630.
As a Medical Technologist at Asante, you will have the opportunity to:
· Work with top notch laboratory professionals in an award winning medical facility
· Develop and practice a full range of skills in a generalist capacity within all laboratory departments
· Reports accurate results using state-of-the-art technology
Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university including courses in biological sciences, chemistry, and mathematics, AND successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Laboratory Scientist program within the last 5 years. Additional experience accepted in lieu of Bachelor's degree for grandfathered MT's certified by the ASCP.
MLS: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certified by the ASCP Board of Certification or equivalent (MT by AMT) or eligibility for Medical Laboratory Scientist MLS (ASCP) certification exam at the time of hire, with successful completion of a MLS (ASCP certification exam within 6 months of hire.
