Asante Ashland Community Hospital, located in Ashland, Oregon, is a 49-bed community hospital that features a birthing center, surgery center, diagnostic imaging, a laboratory, respiratory testing and surgery. The House Supervisor is responsible for general patient care given to hospitalized and emergency room patients.   In this role, the House Supervisor acts as a role model and consultant for clinical and hospital staff and is administratively responsible for all hospital operations when administrative team is not on active duty.


Education:  BSN or Masters Degree in related field is preferred.

Experience:  2-3 years clinical experience, majority of which should be in specific unit is required.  Hospital supervisory/administrative experience is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:  Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing; Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by American Heart Association (AHA); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified from American Heart Association is required.

Unit Specific Certification/Licensure: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified from American Heart Association within 4 months of hire; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certified by American Heart Association (AHA) within 4 months of hire is required.


Ability to work in a team environment; speak, read, write legibly, follow verbal or written instructions, perform basic math; collect, maintain and analyze data; knowledge of state and federal regulations; knowledge of best practices related to patient centered care in the healthcare industry; demonstrated facilitation, coordination and leadership skills; manage time and determine priorities; plan, organize and prioritize; provide constructive feedback and coaching to staff; computer proficient (including word processing, data base, spreadsheet, email, and Meditech); knowledge of accreditation standards; mentor and lead change while maintaining a patient centered care focus, ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints is required.  Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
