The Patient Service Rep 1 for Asante Physician Partners (APP) acts as a multi-skilled employee responsible for caring for all patients and facilitating their follow-up care.  Providing customer service in a Primary Care office, processing patient Referrals, collaborating with medical assistants, scheduling and back-office responsibilities.

 

As a Patient Service Rep 1 at Asante you will have the opportunity to:

 

·         Provide outstanding customer service for the Front Reception desk for a busy Internal Medicine practice

·         Greet and check in patients, communicate with staff, physicians, patients, families and community agencies to improve the overall patient experience

·         Assist with scheduling, request and enter co-pays, process Referrals

·         Create a safe, customer friendly atmosphere to provide the best quality service to our patients and customers




QUALIFICATIONS

Education 

 

·         High school diploma or equivalent; required

·         Medical terminology and/or college level courses; preferred

 

 

Experience 

 

·         At least one year of relevant front-desk customer-related experience in a healthcare setting; required

·         A minimum of two years in a front-end customer service position can substitute for the one year of healthcare related experience

·         Prior experience and demonstrated competence with patient and or customer information systems

 

 

Additional Posting Details

 

·         This position is currently based out of the APP Internal Medicine office in Ashland, Oregon  with the potential to be moved to work out of the Asante Contact Center in Medford, Oregon

·        Candidate must have strong customer service experience in a healthcare setting. Candidate must also have Referral knowledge
