The ITS Manager for Infrastructure & Telecommunications Position Overview


The ITS Manager of Infrastructure and Telecommunication plans, organizes, and manages staff and operations to ensure the operational excellence of Asante's IT infrastructure and telecommunication systems and is accountable for the installation and maintenance of all voice and data communication systems supported by Asante ITS. Systems of responsibility include, but are not limited to: telephony systems; voicemail/call distribution/IVR systems; and local, wide area, and wireless systems.  Additional responsibilities include staff management, oversight and development of the infrastructure and telecommunication teams, strategic planning, operational execution, and capital/operating budget development and control.  





·       Bachelor degree in computer science (or related field), or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required

·       Formal seminar training in communication, personnel management, budget formulation and execution, senior leadership skills, etc., preferred


Required Experience 

·       Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in Information Technology experience, preferably in a healthcare related environment

·       Experience in developing strategies to carry out multi-year I.T. strategic plans for complex organizations

·       Experience working with physicians, individually and through committees, to assess, define and implement physician-focused I.T. solutions

·       Strong background, understanding, and overall knowledge of specialized technological disciplines

·       A thorough understanding large scale, multi-entity technology implementation and management; and disaster recovery strategies



·       Project Management Institute (PMI) certifications and/or current technical certifications in area of management responsibility, preferred

·       Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, physicians, and executives in a variety of settings (i.e. small groups, telephone, email, presentations)

·       Positive demeanor and ability to persuade and motivate others
