Location: Aspirus Cardiology - Wausau, WI
Hours: Occasional - there are no guaranteed hours. This position will cover vacations, illnesses and as needed due to increases in patient volume.
The Appointment Coordinator schedules office visits via a computer system following established protocols that promote patient and physician satisfaction and schedule efficiencies. Greets, registers, and assists patients in a professional manner. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining complete and accurate registration records. Responsible for answering phone calls, providing routine information to callers and transferring calls to appropriate individual in a courteous and professional manner.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a business office or healthcare setting required.
Completion of a medical terminology course is preferred.
Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type patient information.
Knowledge of computer skills including Excel and Word.
Attention to detail.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high degree of professionalism.
Excellent listening skills, eye, hand and auditory coordination.
