Provides consultative services and support to Medical and Allied Health staff and leaders to ensure high quality patient care through the Provider Support Services Department. Responsible for the medical staff organization including facilitating meetings, creation of agendas and minutes, medical staff membership and privileges, reappointments, Joint Commission standards, bylaws and policies, and fair hearing processing. Monitors individual compliance with site-specific requirements such as payment of dues, licensure, medical malpractice insurance, etc. Ensures policies, procedures, and practices achieve Provider Support Services objectives. Knowledge of medical staff office and credentialing standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree. Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or Healthcare Administration preferred. Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in a medical office or credentialing environment preferred. Willingness to pursue CPMSM or CPCS certification. Is proficient in database management, Microsoft Excel, and other software programs preferred. Requires an individual who is self-motivated and directed and assumes responsibility and exercises authority over assigned work functions, is accurate and detail-oriented, possesses ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, work with and maintain confidentiality, prepare enrollment applications, and examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
