Works as an advisor and technical consultant to staff and management and provides advice on all aspects of employment, recruiting, placement and selection practices for Aspirus, its subsidiaries and affiliated organizations. This includes recommending changes regarding employment practices, introducing new innovations, and keeping management abreast of legal and governmental regulatory parameters. The Specialist is accountable to plan, implement and manage any necessary practices and policies for all of Aspirus regarding employment, employment training and education, operating policies, regulations and procedures. Knowledge of employment, recruitment and retention standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in business, management, accounting, finance or related area, or experience equivalent to five years in the employment/human resources field. A Master's Degree in business administration, finance, accounting, personnel management or related area beneficial. Three to five years of experience in health care employment, recruiting and/or consulting including work with EEOC, JCAHO, ADA and other regulations necessary to enhance and develop skills. A minimum of one year of hands on experience with computerized personnel databases and HRIS systems beneficial. Possesses excellent oral, written and negotiating communication skills to present information, debate important issues, obtain consensus and resolve major controversies.
