Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, the C.N.A. provides direct, personal care and services to residents in the long term care setting which meets their physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual needs on a daily basis to maintain and enhance their highest level of independent function. Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Due to the operation of certain power equipment, the legal minimum age for this job is 18 years. Certified as a nursing assistant in the State of South Dakota required. If Not C.N.A. certified, required to obtain certification within 90 days of starting this position. Medication Aide training preferred.
