JOB SUMMARY: The Admissions Specialist II is responsible for registering patients in a timely and accurate manner while performing all necessary procedures to establish accounts and medical record numbers. The Admissions Specialist II verifies insurance coverage and limitations. They collect patient co-payments, deductibles and out of pocket expenses utilizing the deposit matrix/patient estimator and communicates this to the patient. The Admissions Specialist II completes insurance verifications, pre-certification and/or authorization for assigned accounts.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• One to two years related experience in billing, insurance or registration preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
