JOB SUMMARY: The Patient Account Specialist has a high level of knowledge of the Avera Medical Group patient accounts responsibilities for the Sioux Falls Clinics. The Patient Account Specialist works directly with patients to resolve any concerns they may have with their account, collects patient payments and enters them into the system and they are also responsible for all of self-pay follow-up, including assuring reminder letters are sent out at the appropriate times.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Associates or Technical degree or 1 to 2 years of related experience preferred.
· Written and oral communication skills and experience preferred.
