General Summary of Responsibilities: Provides patient care in a clinic setting under the direction of the physician or Mid-level practitioner. Assists physicians with scheduling patient for various diagnosis exams and consults as required to provide continuum of patient care. Requires verbal skills to communicate in a professional and courteous manner with patients, physicians, various staff members and the general public to provide the highest quality of care. Maintains patient confidentiality be self-motivated professional with strong interpersonal skills, work flexible work schedule when needed.
Education: Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing Program.
License/Certifications: Licensed as a Practical Nurse in Nebraska and BLS
Experience: Six months experience in clinic setting, or a minimum of one year in acute care preferably in a rural setting.
Personal Skills: Portrays a positive attitude in interactions with patients, their families, co-workers, and management. Promotes good public relations. Displays good listening skills and follow-through with assignments. Seeks out opportunities for learning new skills and procedures. Demonstrates honesty and integrity in all aspects of the job. Displays a caring approach in providing nursing care to patients and their families. Uses effective methods to work together with peers to accomplish goals.
