  • POSITION DESCRIPTION

    • POSITION SUMMARY
      • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy School, able to effectively perform all aspects of the Resrpiartory Therapy Job Description. Advanced knowledge of airways, ventilatory management and delivery of Respiratory medications.
  • REQUIREMENTS
    • EDUCATION
      • Required:
          • Graduate of an accredited Registered respiratory therapy program, or otherwise accredited RRT through NBRC
      • Preferred:

    • LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION
      • Required:
          • Maintains Current Montana Licensure as Respiratory Therapist.
          • NBRC RRT credential
          • Current CPR certification - through American Heart Association as a Healthcare Provider
          • Current ACLS certification as of 10/31/14 - New hires will be allowed up to 6 months for completion
          • Current NRP as of 4/30/17 - New hires will be allowed until the next available class up to 8 months for completion
          • Current PALS as of 12/30/17 - New hires will be allowed up to 6 months for completion
      • Preferred:

      • Required:
      • Preferred:
          • One year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Pulmonary Function Tech in a general duty hospital preferred.
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • 100% Time Spent -

      • Performs procedures and treatments in respiratory care.
      • Operates and maintains equipment for use in respiratory therapy.
      • Works with other departments and disciplines to coordinate patient care.
      • Teaches patients about therapy and how to perform some therapies on their own.
      • Performs special procedures such as PFTs, EEGs, bronchoscopies, etc. as assigned by supervisor or manager.
      • Interacts and communicates clearly with patients, guests, staff and physicians
      • Demonstrates courteous behavior through polite and respectful communication using established scripts and recognizing the importance of good customer service in all of our interactions.
