Responsible for the delivery, explanation and receipt of patient/family signatures on the CMS Important Notice of Discharge Appeal Rights (Medicare) and keep accurate records in EPIC. Responsible for sending appeals electronically to MPRO and also performs several actions of the EHR process; deliver patient letters to the charts and print letters on the weekends.
This position requires a lot of walking, patient interaction and precise documentation. 40 to 70 patients are seen daily. Must be flexible in availability of hours and helping co-workers during heavy volumes.
This position requires rotating weekends and holidays. Shifts include 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday are 8:00 to 4:30 p.m.
