Will be responsible for evaluation and treatment of patients within our specialty services including oncology, ortho, and Neuro with an emphasis on lymphedema and oncology rehab.
Will be teamed with PTA who is also lymphedema certified.
Develops and implements an appropriate treatment plan for each patient. Serves as a resource of information and treatment skill for less knowledgeable staff, provide student supervision as needed. Supervises assigned support staff. Collaborates with intra and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient care and program development. Collaborates with patient, family, significant other in treatment and in discharge planning. Provides written documentation to the physician regarding the patient initially, at discharge and at appropriate intervals.
Required qualifications: Baccalaureate Degree in Physical Therapy, Lymphedema certification, Michigan State license in PT, BLS certification-American Heart Association.
Must have experience in the treatment of Cancer/Lymphedema and demonstrates continuing education.
Excellent communication skills with physicians and other multidisciplinary team members, excellent interpersonal communication and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s or Doctorate Degree, oncology rehab experience and interest in professional growth in this area desired.
