The Education Program Coordinator (PC) provides administrative support to the Program Director and acts as an educational coordinator internally between residents, fellows, teaching physicians, medical students other programs and departments, the department of Medical Education and institutional administration.
Externally, the Education Program Coordinator coordinates necessary administrative liaisons with local, state, and national professional regulatory organizations whose functions and activities impact WBH's GME programs.
PC duties also include knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, E*Value, SFMatch and ACGME websites. It is imperative that ensuring the program requirements for accreditation are duly met. This includes program recruitment, selection and orientation of its new residents.
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration preferred OR three or more years experience in a medical or academic setting acceptable in lieu of degree.
Certification as a Program Coordinator through national organization appreciated TAGME, (Training Administrators for Graduate Medical Education) desirable.
Written and oral communication skills in order to read and interpret complex accreditation standards. Ability to write program information for accreditation, resident manuals, etc. Computer savvy to develop Excel spreadsheets, maintain databases, research and data analysis skills.
Must exercise the highest level of confidentiality to be able to demonstrate professionalism under close working conditions. Ability to work effectively with people in a wide variety of task without loss of proficiency.
