- Master's Degree
The primary role of Hospital Chaplain is to provide spiritual support, care and comfort to hospital patients, families and staff employees.
Required: Master's Degree of Divinity, is endorsed by a religious group, ordained or consecrated by their faith group. Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is also required. Chaplains should have at least three years’ experience working in a congregation and an institutional internship or residency. Certification with one of the 4 major accrediting Chaplaincy organizations preferred.
