The Research Associate I will design and conduct experiments using acceptable scientific techniques and established standards with little supervision. Develop and validate new methodologies to improve the productivity of the research program. Analyze data and document research results. Assist in the preparation of manuscripts, presentations and research grants. Train and supervise junior research personnel (research coordinator, research assistants, student interns, and volunteers).
Requirements: Ph.D. or M.D. degree and lab research experience in a related field. Post-doctoral trainees may occupy this position.
Prefeffed Qualifications: PhD in other related field requires one year of research experience in Radiation Oncology physics. Ability to perform a variety of clinical physics procedures (e.g. understand the principle of therapy machine, treatment planning, dose measurement and calculation, radiation measurement instruments and radiation safety & protection). Computer skills, including databse management, word processing and internet. Strong organizational skills. Keen attention to detail. Highly motivated and able to work with little supervision. Knowledge and application of experimental laboratory techniques related to department specific research.
