The manager of the Sub-Acute Care program will work closely with the Director of Nursing in the overall planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the delivery of nursing care on the Sub-Acute floor which may include departmental documentation on medical records; nursing supplies; ancillary supplies or services; care plans; MDS's; Skin Care Program; Medicare management and documentation; Restraint Reduction; Nutrition; Fall Prevention; and Behavioral Programs; Light Duty program; selection, training and orientation of new employees; communicate policies, evaluate performance, redirect and discipline as needed.  You will also be actively involved in consulting with family members, physicians and other Health Care professionals. You will play a critical role in developing and implementing a written plan of care for individual residents that addresses the needs the resident.  In addition, this role exemplifies and ensures high standards of customer service that exceed our internal and external customers' expectations. 

This is a critical role in our organization.  To qualify, you must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and possess a valid and in good standing State of Michigan license to practice as a Registered Nurse.  In addition, five to seven years of previous nursing home experience is preferred, along with progressive supervisory experience.
