-Master's degree in Divinity, Theology, Spirituality or related field required.
-Proven pastoral skills in parish, healthcare, or other settings required.
-Clinical Pastoral Education training (minimum of two units required, four units preferred)
-Denominational endorsement.
-Certification (or eligibility for) the College of Chaplains, NACC, National Association of Jewish Chaplains other recognized endorsing body.
-Experienced Chaplain with strong interfaith commitment.
-Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team and physicians.
-Strong verbal and written skills.
-Experience in planning and management to keep BMC up to date in chaplaincy, holistic health and ethic Competence in computer use for charting in the medical record and statistics.
-Sufficient physical health and strength to fulfill the ministry requirements.
-Capacity to represent the Pastoral Care Departments to the wider community.
-Respect and understanding of other faith traditions.
-Competence in using phone, fax, copy machine, and other equipment.
-Must meet the physical requirements of the position, as outlined in the job description available through the Human Resources department.
