Current RN license and 2 years clinical experience. Current CPR certification. Technical nursing skills. Documentation skills. Multidisciplinary professional (verbal & written) communication/presentation skills in order to serve as a resource to individuals, families and groups. Ability to travel and to be flexible with work schedule. Knowledge of public, community, cultural health theories and concepts. Program development skills. Excellent organizational skills. The Community Education Nurse works independently in the community setting and is responsible for providing health assessment, prevention, and health promotion to individuals, families, and groups. Flexible work hours and days as determined by the needs of the department and at the discretion of the Department Director.
