- Licensed RN. Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Certification in staff developent or similar educational certification preferred. Working knowledge of regulatory guidelines, evidenced based practice, Core Measures, performance improvement processes, and trends in clinical nursing practice. Two years as a RN in an acute care setting, with any additional work experiences in other settings allowed (e.g. clinic, home health, long term care, rehabilitation). Staff development, education, clinical specialty experience preferred. CPR provider status required. The Staff Educator collaborates with the System Nursing Development (SND) team, clinical educators, managers, nursing staff, and other leaders to provide staff education and consultation to BH Department of Nursing. Primary responsibilities: 1) teaches and serves as Course Leader for select SND courses; 2) responsible for course development/updates, teaching, monitoring guest speakers, testing, evaluation, course materials/texts and maintenance of records; and 3) functions as a Nurse Planner (NP) within the BH Provider Unit.
